This past New Year’s Eve will be one I will never forget.

I received a phone call around 7pm that my friend’s water had broken. She was 4 weeks early!!

Since it was her first pregnancy I figured I was safe to go about my New Year’s plans and then meet there after midnight.

When I arrived around 2am, she had still not progressed, so I went home to sleep. (hospital chairs are no bueno, haha)

Well at 9:30am I received a call that she was going back for a c-section and that she had gotten it approved for me to go back too!!

Mama is a labor and delivery nurse, so she knew that whatever she had to do to get her baby here safely, she was okay with.

It was a special experience to share with my friends, them welcoming their baby into the world.

I couldn’t have hand picked you better parents little Jack.

Congratulations again B & K!!
